Steps
1Turn off the HVAC system at the thermostat
2Locate the air filter (return vent, furnace, or air handler)
3Remove the old filter and note airflow direction arrows
4Check the filter size printed on the frame
5Vacuum dust from the filter slot or vent area
6Write the install date on the filter frame (optional)
7Insert the new filter with arrows pointing toward airflow
8Secure the cover or panel
9Turn the system back on
